What Women Don't Want Men To Know
I rather prided myself in being more left-brained in the past, and only somewhat right-brained. What has happened is I have become the very thing I hate. It’s the same thing I see with some vegetarians that hate pork. They hate pig meat, and yet for some reason when I see their office or home it looks like a pigsty. One guy told me that someone hated crows so much he constantly shot at them with his gun all his life, and then when he passed away he looked like a crow. Why do we become what we despise in life?
The reason why I don’t like women is I find some women are ruled by their emotions and petty jealousy, and in my book they are weak willed. It’s the 28-day cycle. For some reason, I was blessed with no horrendous mood swings or cramps in life so when women use that excuse of having their cycle, I don’t have any compassion because “it was never my problem.” Then next, is the whole whiny princess thing. Being a picky eater or when they don’t like to get dirty in camping or roughing it out or spending an incredible amount of time primping. I take 15 minute showers and get ready in 30 minutes. My dad took me fishing and camping in a tent growing up, no camper. I went on and lived with my son in a tent/camper for two years in a missionary group, and I can’t count the cheap hotels my former husband and I stayed in when he was preaching the gospel.
I heard that I’m the weaker sex and I remembering going home crying when my next door neighbor boy could beat me in running when I was around five or six years old. We would race and compete every day. I also remember I would compete in arm wrestling with him often. We jumped skate board ramps together, played army and football, climbed trees and we rode the handle bars of our bikes. I did play Barbie so I had some feminine qualities. I gave up in competing in sports in junior high because I did not have the gift of being athletic like some of my female cohorts that were more manly physically. Believe me, if I had the ability, I would have competed. One reason I chose computer programming as a major in college because it was competition with men.
I read the book soon after my husband passed away by Smith and Doe, What Men Don’t Want Women to Know Secrets, The Lies, The Unspoken Truth. It’s rather an overbalance that basically men, if it were not for sex, would not need or want women at all. I am the same way. If it were not for sex, I could probably totally disregard men….LOL It’s a big driving force in my life, and I can separate my body from my soul for a long time. I do find however when you are in an abusive relationship that it is like drinking poison as far as a slow death. Waking up to someone who puts a knife in my gut every day. Praise God I found a man who I could walk in harmony with. What I can say about being in a Christian marriage and the physical and waking up every morning and going to bed was a joy:
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, Ephesians 3:20
Being married to a man that I walked in harmony was above what I could ask or think. A few months ago, I had a dream that I was going to sing in front of a large audience. I was expected to get up in front of this large audience without knowing my part as a second soprano. It reminded me of when I was in fifth grade and my choir teacher was wanting me to sing the song, Tender Shepherd and I bombed the 2nd soprano piece in practice. She decided on letting me sing a solo by myself, The Sweetheart Tree, and I sang it magnificently in the school performance. If you can’t find a guy or woman you harmonize with in life, it’s better to go solo in life, until you find that perfect harmony. I read the book 90 Minutes in Heaven and the person who died talked about how when he was in heaven a short 90 minutes, he heard three different music pieces going at the same time in perfect harmony.
The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." Genesis 2:8
I can relate to the song below In the Light because now I’ve despised myself in being a woman. I laugh when I meet younger women that are very blunt about things, they so remind me of me. I also think of that quote in the movie, Pretty Woman by Vivian where she says, “I just do it.” She said she was like a robot in having sex and that is exactly how I can be. In marriage, whether a person loved me or not, I’m capable of shutting down my emotions for a long time and just do it. I’m a mechanically minded person. I could use a guy at any time for self-gratification as a single woman, but I know my heavenly Father has strong admonitions about this type of behavior in His word. It’s because I’m capable of shutting down my heart. God has changed my stony heart over time where I actually care now. I cared about my husband and I care about people. I finally developed a relationship with a man as my companion and best friend in life. I believe after you have been burnt so many times in the past by men and friends you get to the point where you don’t care anymore, you harden your heart over a period of time. The Wizard of Oz (God) somehow gave this tin woman a heart.
And I will give you a new heart, and put a new spirit within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and will give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26 & Ezekiel 11:9
Jesus warned that one of the signs of the last days is that your friends and relatives will betray you. Not only unfaithfulness in marriage, but I’ve spoken to many people whose Christian friends flaked out on them.
They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. 2 Timothy 3:4
You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death. Luke 21:16
Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death. Matthew 10:21
All men will hate you because of me. Luke 21:17
Many women I have spoken to who have gone through many losses like me of several family members through murder or untimely death, have realized that we are not capable of bearing these burdens in life anymore. Not capable of going through the emotions of life as a tin robot that is wound up. I’ve become the emotionally weak woman I despise. What does God say?
Let the weak say, “I am strong.” Joel 3:10
I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Philip 4:13
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11:30
So I’ve had more than I can bear in life, but I realize that I’m capable of handling a heavy load of pain with God in my heart as my burden bearer, not by myself. There are women I’ve met where they had a friend murdered or an adult daughter murdered and the ex-boyfriend killed a granddaughter/children at the same time and that is a lot of pain to bear. Job’s wife in the Bible lost all her children in one day, that was a lot of pain to bear. Then there are things in life that are a slow death like drinking poison.
My husband ate ice cream every night said it calmed his stomach and my brother who has been a paramedic on the side for over 20 years said that is the worst thing you can eat every day with a combination of fat and sugar. Alcohol on a regular basis can be a slow death that poisons you. I have a friend who died of alcoholism who was my classmate. He gave it up seven years prior to his death, but the damage to his liver was already done. The Lord dealt with me after losing my husband to give up soda pop and sugar drinks. With having three members in my family who died of cancer, I’m trying to not poison my body with what I drink or certain medications that cause cancer. Before I became a Christian as a teenager, I was watching people shoot up methadone (speed) and I had a hallucination of them sticking a knife in their arm, and I was not high at the time on drugs. I believe God was giving me a revelation of what they were doing to their body. The Bible talks about if you have gluttony, stick a knife to your throat. Words can be poison to our hearts and to our spirits. My father developed an ulcer from worry. Bitterness can contaminate our spirit and so can negative words we speak. I don’t watch those CSI and crime shows like Criminal Minds anymore, because they feed too much fear in my mind of people breaking into my home.
If you are a big eater, put a knife to your throat; Proverbs 22:3
Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many. Hebrews 12:15
The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:22
Too much of anything can be dangerous to your health and well-being. God’s word talks about moderation. Let your moderation be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Philip 4:5
The general rule is whatever we do we are to do all to the glory of God that may eliminate some things in our life! So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Cor. 10:31
The greatest general rule is walking in love, and love considers another person above our own self instead of using a person to meet our own physical gratifications and lust. We are to owe no man anything but love. I don’t always get love out of my friends. It’s the one thing I look for in life. The one thing that attracted me most to my husband is that he cared about my soul over time. He was concerned about my well-being. It’s hard to find a person with such a giving nature like that. It’s hard to find a Boaz in life. In a romantic relationship or in friendship.
Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Roman 13:10
Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law. Romans 13:8
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 1 Cor. 13:4-8
God Invented Baseball With the Three-Strike Rule
Earliest known reference of Baseball from England is in a 1744 publication, A Little Pretty Pocket-Book by John Newbery. It contains a wood-cut illustration of boys playing "baseball" (showing a similar set-up to the modern game) and a rhymed description of the game. Also, a British letter dating from 1748 by Lady Hervey describes how the then Prince of Wales diverted his time playing baseball. The English author Jane Austen specifically mentions the game of baseball in her novel, Northanger Abbey, being played by the protagonist, Catherine Moreland
Jesus used metaphors. He said he was the good shepherd. He said our heart was a door and he was the narrow gate and the only way to eternal life. He talked about being fishers of men and he compared God’s word to farming and planting seed.
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. Matthew 7:13
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20
I use metaphors. I find life is like baseball. There is a three-strike rule. Peter denied Jesus three times. Peter had struck out with Jesus. So Jesus asked Peter if he loved him more than fishing three times. Jesus wanted to know if he could count on Peter, because Peter had “flaked out on him.” It’s developing a history with a person over a period of time to know they are dependable. Many times God will have you prove you are dependable. I did music for two years for a group. I even did music when I had a broken ankle and bronchitis when it was difficult to sing. I did it because I knew there were not many people who could cover the music. I’m not accountable to people, except they are depending on me, but I have a higher accountability, my accountability is with God. There are some people that fill thousands of communion cups on Sundays for mega churches.
So he called him in and asked him, 'What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your management, because you cannot be manager any longer.' Luke 16:2
Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you. Hebrews 13:7
But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. 1 Peter 4:5
God wants to know if He can depend on us? For a job, an employer wants to know if they can depend on you. There are commitments to our jobs, our friends, to the work of God’s ministry. Are we dependable? Do we keep our word? Do we tell people we are going to be somewhere and we are there? I heard a long time ago if you don’t keep your word, you won’t be able to have faith that God will keep his word. At my job, I’ve come in sick with a virus, because I knew there was no one to cover for an orientation of 75 students that day. I came in one time to bring some pamphlets I had made up and printed for a faculty retreat when the side of my face was swollen up like a golf ball from periodontal surgery. When I was supporting my husband to go to Bible College, I walked a mile to catch a bus when my car was stuck in the garage due to snow. I’ve done those deeds to remain faithful to a husband, my family and my job. I don’t consider it less to have God to depend on me to be a faithful steward as when I have had to support my family at times in the absence of a man who supported me. I made a commitment to God a while back to stay off of welfare as a single parent even in the absence of child support. I believe many Christians are expecting welfare or handouts from God, when the Bible says faith without actions (works) is dead. Many Christians mentally assent to God’s word that it is a nice book, but it is not the living word in their hearts.
But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. James 2:8
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. James 3:13
God’s word will never fail us, but for some reason our faithfulness ties into God’s word working in our lives. Trusting in God’s word is as simple as child trusts in his parent when his parent tells him “we are going on vacation.” We simply trust like a little child what God says.
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. Mark 10:15
In life, the more you get to know a person, the more you should like them, and the list of good points should go upwards not downwards. They are a joy to be around. Everyone has some issues or problems in life. I think I am very concerned with so much baggage or luggage up front. It’s sort of like my boat. To really get the front end of the boat down I have to have at least three people get in the front of the boat with weight to make it go down to balance the boat out so it can go faster. If there is too much weight in the back the nose won’t go down. For some reason I seem to get hit with a guy’s luggage up front. Maybe that is a good thing. At least I know ahead of time what I’m getting into, rather than the weight in the back end, but then I’ve read dating advice that if you dump on a woman you want a mother not a wife. I liked this one movie I watched where it said at least wait until the appetizers arrive before you spill your guts. I don’t even make it until after the appetizers with some guys.
God moves in confirmations in my life of three signs when he wants me to do something in life. For Gideon he did four signs. If God “really” wants me to do something it will be four or five signs. I don’t determine the signs, I let God determine them because Satan knows this rule and he will give counterfeit signs. These signs are two or three witnesses of my spirit.
This will be my third visit to you. "Every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses." 2 Cor. 3:1
Jesus overcame the three temptations of the devil in the wilderness and Eve was tempted with three things, i.e. the lust of the flesh (fruit was good for food), the pride of the life (pleasing to the eyes), and the desire to make one wise (knowledge of good and evil/gaining wisdom). Satan got Eve to question God’s word (hath God really said?)
When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Genesis 3:6
For everything in the world--the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does--comes not from the Father but from the world. 1 John 2:16
Jesus asked three times let this cup pass from me, Peter had a vision three times of eating unclean meat before God sent him to a Gentile, Jesus was in the belly of the earth (hell) like Jonah was in the belly of the whale, Paul sought the Lord three times for the thorn of the flesh to depart, Daniel prayed three times a day, and three Hebrew teens were in the fiery furnace. When God wants me to do something he will give me three confirmations and if he really wants me to do something he will give me four confirmations like Gideon had four fleeces. Everything is in the Bible for a reason!
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. Eccl. 4:12
If I’m praying about a guy I’m dating it is usually very simple. Three things that turn me off immediately. Sometimes it’s the weirdest experience. I’m dancing at a single’s social with a guy who is a Christian and I really like him and within a space of an hour, he tells me he had anger problems with his ex-girlfriend, he has a problem cussing and he drinks beer on a regular basis. I’m automatically turned off. I’ve not even developed three good images about the person, and he has already sunk the love boat with his mouth. I had this experience with a widower who was attractive, had a good job, lost his wife to cancer five years ago, but then when he said that “He never got past the first date, because women found he was boring.” The words stuck in my brain and I found him extremely boring.” I tried to share my experience with him about three months later, but he got offended. I prayed about it and the Lord said we are farmers with our words. We sow into people’s minds thoughts and images and then those seeds grow to fruition. “As a man thinketh in his heart so is he.”
When I ask some of my girlfriends who gave some of my Christian guy friends their phone number, usually I hear over and over again that these guys have a low self-esteem. A person needs to be healthy and love his own self before you can love others. I’m not talking about being a narcissist and carry a mirror in your back pocket like Shania Twain talked about in her song That Don’t Impress Me Much, but we are to “Love your neighbors as yourself.”
My husband could be a real jerk sometimes and I told him. He fits the rocket scientist description that Shania Twain talked about in that song, and then I’ve met guys who are infatuated with their new motor cycles, cars or trucks as she also sang about. My husband was an intelligent man and I think he may have had slight Asperger (extremely gifted in Math and Science, but lacked social skills) because sometimes he would call everyone in the house stupid. We were all stupid, but him. Marriage will improve your prayer life, and I told him he was being a jerk and would go pray for him. He usually smiled at me when I said that. It’s very hard to stay mad at a person who grins at you all the time. It reminded me of an episode on Little House on the Prairie when Charles Ingalls was plowing his field on Sunday and he was not going to church. He said that he had to plow while he was able to plow even if it was on Sunday. That was my husband, he wanted to golf and boat on Sundays since Indiana only has good weather so much during the year. Charles Ingalls ended up with broken ribs in the episode, and I find that God will allow some things in your life if you start putting other idols before him. But in the episode, Caroline, his wife made a comment that he was so sweet that she could not stay mad at him for long. When a person is sweet, and does not have that mean spirit, it’s hard to stay mad at them for long when you are married to them. When it says a soft answer turns away wrath so does a huge smile/grin!
A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1
There are tests that Boaz passed as protector in not allowing his hired hand to bother her, he did not take advantage of her when she laid at his feet, and he first sought to do the right thing with the other relative who was first, and took over the other relative’s debt. When my first husband wanted a divorced his best friend was going through a divorce in Florida and wanted to date me. I could not date my husband’s best friend. I had been friends with his ex-wife. His ex-wife left him when she was going into being a hairdresser when she started going out drinking escapade with her friends at work. She left her husband and the two children. I could not be in a relationship out of convenience when I was not a whole person myself coming out of a seven year marriage. I may not have always done a good job of picking the best person for my life as a marriage partner in the past, but convenience was never an option.
Adultery to me is a relationship out of convenience and usually gets started because you are working at the same location or in close proximity with someone. Friends with benefits is a relationship out of convenience. I'm looking for a relationship that is not convenient where some sacrifices will be made. Jesus told the woman taken in adultery that he did not condemn her, but he told her, "Go and sin no more."
When it comes to not liking something about a friend I use the three-day rule. If something bothers me, I wait three-days to tell a friend or a group that something has offended me. The Bible does not say that we can’t correct someone, it says to make sure we have the plank out of our eye first. I’ll correct someone about bitterness against an ex-husband or ex-wife because I’ve learned to overcome bitterness and resentment in my own life, and I know what poison that is to hindering the grace of God. But I don’t usually correct any person at a table or social event when it happens. I have a hole in my heart because I got that plank of bitterness out of my eye over time.
In the Light by DC Talk, written by Charlie Peacock
I keep trying to find a life
On my own, apart from You
I am the king of excuses
I've got one for every selfish thing I do
What's going on inside of me?
I despise my own behavior
This only serves to confirm my suspicions
That I'm still a man in need of a Savior
(chorus)
I wanna be in the Light
As You are in the Light
I wanna shine like the stars in the heavens
Oh, Lord be my Light and be my salvation
Cause all I want is to be in the Light
All I want is to be in the Light
The disease of self runs through my blood
It's a cancer fatal to my soul
Every attempt on my behalf has failed
To bring this sickness under control
Tell me, what's going on inside of me?
I despise my own behavior
This only serves to confirm my suspicions
That I'm still a man in need of a Savior
Honesty becomes me
[There's nothing left to lose]
The secrets that did run me
[In Your presence are defused]
Pride has no position
[And riches have no worth]
The fame that once did cover me
[Has been sentenced to this Earth]
Has been sentenced to this Earth
Tell me, what's going on inside of me?
I despise my own behavior
This only serves to confirm my suspicions
That I'm still a man in need of a Savior
[There's no other place that I want to be]
[No other place that I can see]
[A place to be that's just right]
[Someday I'm gonna be in the Light]
[You are in the Light]
[That's where I need to be]
[That's right where I need to be]

A friend disagrees with the Smith and Doe book, because men she has known would not be able to take care of themselves without a woman...they might make it for a while, but then let them get a whopping case of the flu and they are down for the count! On the other hand, women fair a bit better by themselves then men do....at least we reach out to our friends for help...a lot of men are too prideful to even admit they need help let alone ask for it! There are a lot of men that are not as independent. I was married to a Mr. Mom. He washed his own clothes even after we were married, because he liked to keep his socks matching; he sewed and ironed his own clothes. He did not like to cook and clean very much. It’s harder for women widowed who have had a husband, because we got accustomed to the “finer” things in life, and were spoiled by a husband from our independence whom fixed things, and helped around the home. My husband before we met was overwhelmed with raising two children on his own, besides his physical sex drive, so he wanted help with his children full time so that is why he sought out getting remarried and answered my single's ad in a magazine.

How can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,' when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. Luke 6:42
With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water. James 3:9-11
As a Christian, I believe that there is a place for instruction and correction as God spirit leads in the church. I know several Christians are “sensitive” to instruction and it is hard for me to understand why. (1) If I truly make a mistake then be quick to repent for my mistake (2) Say I’m sorry if I’m wrong, if it’s an oversight my manager made at work, I just fix the problem, I don’t need to apologize for something I’ve not done if it’s my manager’s mistake (2) recognize is a person projecting guilt on me for their problems and blaming me for their lack of organization, (3) if I have sinned in my life and caused a conflict, (4) spiritual warfare and that is why there is conflict with a person, (5) a door is closed and God wants me to leave a group and go somewhere else…when they were going to push Jesus over the cliff, he went to another town where he was received and welcomed. It may be letting some friends go and God will bring in other friends in your life. We constantly as Christians need to “shake the dust” off our feet as when we are not accepted somewhere do to our ministry gifts than go another place where our message is accepted. Not correcting people because their faults annoy me, but correcting them with the word of God. That is speaking the truth in love.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 2 Timothy 3:6
Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. Ephesians 4:15
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8
I keep trying to find a life
On my own, apart from You
I am the king of excuses
I've got one for every selfish thing I do
What's going on inside of me?
I despise my own behavior
This only serves to confirm my suspicions
That I'm still a man in need of a Savior
(chorus)
I wanna be in the Light
As You are in the Light
I wanna shine like the stars in the heavens
Oh, Lord be my Light and be my salvation
Cause all I want is to be in the Light
All I want is to be in the Light
The disease of self runs through my blood
It's a cancer fatal to my soul
Every attempt on my behalf has failed
To bring this sickness under control
Tell me, what's going on inside of me?
I despise my own behavior
This only serves to confirm my suspicions
That I'm still a man in need of a Savior
Honesty becomes me
[There's nothing left to lose]
The secrets that did run me
[In Your presence are defused]
Pride has no position
[And riches have no worth]
The fame that once did cover me
[Has been sentenced to this Earth]
Has been sentenced to this Earth
Tell me, what's going on inside of me?
I despise my own behavior
This only serves to confirm my suspicions
That I'm still a man in need of a Savior
[There's no other place that I want to be]
[No other place that I can see]
[A place to be that's just right]
[Someday I'm gonna be in the Light]
[You are in the Light]
[That's where I need to be]
[That's right where I need to be]
