The "To Do" List

·      There are some projects in life, especially at work at times, that I’m glad I did not get to them, because my manager would change his mind or the variables would change and the project was no longer needed. I remember one time my dad wanted to fly to Florida. My father had his own small air craft and he was going to fly in to Jacksonville, Florida with my brother and I and my mother (we had a 4-passenger small plane). My dad was so nervous about it, he did not sleep the whole night before. We ended up taking an airline for our vacation. Another time he flew into Moline, Illinois to see my grandparents, and his radio went out, and we had to land at a small commercial runway. He was lucky he did not get fined by the FAR. Nowadays, we probably would get shot down if we did not have a radio. It was different at where we lived off of Bob Shank airport, because you could land and take off without a radio working any time. Our back yard went straight to the runway strip of the airport.

There is just something about accomplishing a “to do list” and lately when I knock off some project it seems another one comes up in my life. Some of those projects have been a continual helping my daughter Hannah with getting her car fixed with one thing after another. My husband and I could not get over why we would go to do something and it just seemed like the project would take twice as long so I’m binding those “hindering” spirits. It does not say that God stopped Paul it says that Satan stopped Paul. I was trying to finish a Trig class and I got a flat tire on my class night and lost a 3-hour lecture I could not afford to miss. At first, I thought maybe it’s because I’ve put things ahead of God in my life, but now I’m starting to see that many reasons I’ve stopped in life from my goals is from another reason.

Noticed that Paul said that Satan stopped him "again" and "again" ---it does not say that God stopped him for a reason!

Bind hindering spirits in your life.

(For we wanted to come to you--certainly I, Paul, did, again and again--but Satan hindered (stopped) us. 1 Thess. 2:8)
