To Dream the Impossible Dream

As a little girl I always liked that song, "Climb Every Mountain" on the Sound of Music. Follow every dream...To dream the impossible dream...to boldly go where no man has gone before, travel at the speed of light, to break the sound barrier. To run through a troop and leap over a wall....to be more than a conqueror.....to not give up on making that one last light bulb that is going to work or that automobile that everyone can afford...to quit sitting in the back of the bus! In Duet 28 its says we are the "head" not the tail.

Why do people like Joel Osteen so much?  Because there are very few ministers who are motivational/inspirational teachers, most of them tell us what we don't do right. Reminds me of a critical dad. I was afraid of my dad when I was growing up so I asked my mother for the car, for a dress at the prom, to buy me clothes and everything else in life. My dad was the provider, but he was not approachable. My mother was my intercessor for my dad. Many people don't "ask" God or believe for much in life, because they don't have that close relationship like I did not have with my own father growing up.

Like my mother, Jesus Christ is my intercessor in life (defense attorney) to approach God. His righteousness is what causes me to be in right-standing with God. I am not counting on my own goodness or righteousness to make it into heaven or through this life.

My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense--Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 1 John 2:1
For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5
