Is Life a Computer Program Like the Matrix?

Garbage in…garbage out (spiritually or physically). One way our lives are definitely like a computer program is how a virus or worm is trying to get in our computer hard drive there are viruses and diseases that try to attack our bodies. Someone posted on Facebook why does God allow cancer to happen to good people? I don’t see much difference than when someone tried to break in my house. Am I going to just let my house, my children and grandchildren get attacked by an intruder or do I take steps against the intruder? I’ve got to take care of the intruder or the virus.

When people say God allows things have they become fatalists? The Bible talks about us being “co-laborers” together so we have a part on what goes in our body physically and spiritually. With all the preservatives and chemicals sprayed on food and given to cattle today, it’s not surprising that cancer is a huge enemy of our bodies.

We can still do our part when Federal Express knocks on our door and they want to deliver a package of cobra snakes from India that we say, “Return to sender, I’m not accepting this package of snakes,” “Satan, I’m not accepting this package of snakes in the form of sickness, disease, or financial problems, get off the affairs of my life,” Jesus took my sickness and diseases on his body and there is no sickness and disease or poverty in heaven and Jesus said to pray “your will be on earth as it is in heaven.”

Well, I do believe God does allow things at times and I felt that the Lord allowed this second break in my house to show me what a hypocrite I was as far as posting on someone’s Facebook that we look at life as permanent when it’s very temporary.

Anyway, with that break in, I just saw how wishy washy I am to just let the enemy come in and rob me in life with sickness and disease rather than put my foot down like I would a thief in my house.  This is the second time someone has come in and I’ve been home so it all just makes me very angry.   When are we going to get angry at the enemy for robbing us in life?

Neo to the Matrix: “I'm going to show them a world.. without you. A world without rules or controls, without borders or boundaries. A world where anything is possible. Where we go from there is a choice I leave to you.”

Christianity is not believing in yourself to free your mind. It’s believing that the greater one lives on the inside of you (1 John 4:4). It’s tapping into the power of the vine. He is the vine and we are the branches. (John 15:5) He is greater than any circumstances that hits us in life. Many times I say that each day, “The greater one is in me and He in me is able to conquer anything that comes against me.”

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results….Albert Eistein

In computer programming you have variables. Variables that are local to the program and then some variables that are global. In life, I like to change variables that are happening in my life – it could be the people I hang around, the events I attend, the ministries I do to see what the result of the final program will be to see how my life is and the outcome of my life--these are the local variables.

If you are not getting the desired results, you have not passed the information correctly through your variables. If you don’t set a counter, the program can loop over and over. I find that many times in life, it’s like a continuous endless loop and the Children of Israel spent forty years wandering in a dessert when they should have gone in and taken the promise land.

Then there are the global variables which are more drastic life changes such as a new job, a new home, a new mate, a new church, moving to a new city. When you change variables in your life than you can get the desired results in the computer program or your life. There are “constants” in life – those can be family, friends, and of course God. *a constant is an identifier whose associated value cannot typically be altered by the program.

First, it is getting unplugged from the Matrix and then once you are unplugged you may have to deal with those sentinels that attack you (bad things that happen), but at least you are unplugged from the Matrix. The last sentinel I had was a deer that hit my car. Next, is getting your mind “plugged” into God’s word to “test and approve” what God’s perfect will is for your life.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2
