Overcoming Bad Karma

Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him! Romans 5:9
and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead--Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath. 1 Thess 1:10

Cold symptoms went away last night as I was praying for others and I felt so much better.  Only had them for four hours. When I had teenagers, went to a Girl's prison and ministered to troubled teens at that time. Volunteered for teen socials.  Same now during the holidays, I found better than a Bible study is that helping others with grief has been the best remedy for grief like the common cold.  And filling empty place settings with strangers.  Invited my roommate from China for holiday dinner and last year a single friend.

After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before. Job 42:10

If I plant corn, I’m going to reap corn. Go plant tomato plants, I’m going to have tomatoes whatever that I want to reap a harvest of I have to plant good seed. Sow good seeds into other people's lives and reap the harvest of good seeds. Sow good seed into our marriage partner as far as praise and respect, we reap the harvest of a good marriage.
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Galatians 6 :7.

As a Christian do I have the right to treat my Christian brother and sister with contempt and disrespect and then demand that they are to give me mercy? If I sign a contract including making a marriage covenant, and either spouse does not fulfill obligations to that marriage covenant does that give me the right to treat my spouse poorly? Are we to rip off our fellow believers? Shouldn’t we be treating our Christian brothers and sisters even better? Do we leave off common courtesies to the household of faith?

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. Galatians 6:10

Do I hire Christian contractors and then tell them I can’t pay them and they have to forgive me because Christ forgave them?

Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. Romans 13:8

I have paid even a higher wage at times for Christians contractors. When I go out to eat, I make sure I tip 20% to a waitress.  Now there is a balance as far as free enterprise that I try to get a better deal and this is America, and there is a man who helps widows and single parents because he knows we have one income. It’s hard for me to get him to come over and fix things because he is so swamped with requests by other widows and single parents! But I will probably be contacting him soon since I see I have some eves on my house that are rotting.

Someone has to do their part to turn life around. Many lessons in life from others are not what to do. Do unto others as I would have them do unto me, not what they have done to me. My contribution to society is one day a week of concentrated prayer for our President, our country, other nations, and all people in general.  AND to focus on giving people mercy in life, doing unto others as I want them to do unto me. Not returning evil for evil.

(Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. 1 Peter 3:9)

Read  Psalm 118:1-4---his mercy endures forever.  I don’t want to get what I deserve in life, in fact we all deserve death because of sin. I want to lean on God’s mercy. Whenever I see a person in a car accident on the side of the road and bleeding, I pray for God’s mercy. Thank God for his good Samaritans (health care professionals) who stop to help them.

Be merciful to those who doubt; Save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear--hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh. Jude 1:22-23
because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment. James 2:13
