Several chapters in the Bible were written by the major and minor prophets some of those were: Zechariah, Naham, Malachi, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Isaiah, etc. The whole book of Revelation was John's vision when he was banished to the isle of Patmos.
Of all the prophets, the only ones that seem to have the more recorded miracles were Elijah and Elisha. John the Baptist came under the same anointing as Elijah:
He will be a man with the spirit and power of Elijah. He will prepare the people for the coming of the Lord. He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and he will cause those who are rebellious to accept the wisdom of the godly." Luke 1:17
I've met some modern day prophets who have dreams that come to pass. My own niece had a vision when she was awake that fireworks on the 4th of July were going to misfire and she made everyone move their lawn chairs and it happened as she saw in the vision or some people may call this a premonition.
I've had dreams that came true. Had a dream that my manager and my job was going to be cut at Methodist Hospital and it was. Had a dream not to take my SUV to Michigan last summer the night before the trip that my SUV had an engine problem after I had it serviced and one hour from my destination the transmission seal went out. Turned out the mechanic's machine put too many transmission fluid quarts in it.
I've met some people who have told me something that was going to happen in my life - it was a prophesy and it came true. It says not to despise prophesies. 1 Thess 5:20
With all these prophetic words, revelations, visions and dreams, I’ve not met a prophet who raised someone from the dead after their body was dead for four days and was decaying.
A person who walked on water, turn water into wine, fed 5K people from five loaves and two fish, made the lame walk, the wind and waves obeyed him when he said “Peace Be still,” a man born blind to see, and cured lepers. A man who was crucified, and laid in a tomb and rose from the dead in three days and appeared to over 500 people.
I’ve also heard about a number of visions that people from other faiths have seen Jesus. Or those people who were clinically dead and flat lined and Jesus told them to come back to earth.
After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep (died). 1 Cor. 15:6
We have the “recorded” miracles that Jesus did – he did a whole bunch more –a lot more than just a prophet!
Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written. John 21:25
Like Peter, I believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the son of the living God! (Matthew 16:16).
Peter said he was the son of the living God and you can find every prophet's body dead in their tomb except Elijah.
Jesus lives on the right hand of God ever intercediing for us. Romans 8:34-35 and Hebrews 7:25 as was the great high priest for the people who made atonement for our sins.
Now the main point of what we are saying is this: We do have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, and who serves in the sanctuary, the true tabernacle set up by the Lord, not by a mere human being. Hebrews 8:1-2
