Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children. Ephesians 5:1
The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Roman 8:16
Dear friends, we are now God's children, but what we will be like has not been revealed yet. We know that when the Messiah is revealed, we will be like him, because we will see him as he is. 1 John 3:2
so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe. Philip 2:15
We are dearly loved children by our heavenly Father. The Supremes came out with the song, Love Child…never meant to be. I am a loved child! I posted the lyrics below, because I was not a planned birth by my parents. God is my heavenly Father and I’m his loved child. Guess what? I may not have been a planned birth by my parents, but I was in God’s plan! Every baby that comes into this world has the right to be born into love.
I was listening to a Christian radio station and a woman was talking about hearing her baby's ultra sound and what a wonderful experience that was. It reminds me of the miracle of the birth of my children and watching my grandsons being born with both of my daughters. Birth is a miracle. Babies seem fragile.
I had a dog that had ten puppies and my children were excited about watching those puppies being born. To enter God's kingdom, we have to be born physically and then born of God's spirit. Being born the first time is a miracle and so is the rebirth. God is excited when everyone of us is born but also when we are reborn!

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God," John 3:5
I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. Luke 15:7
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139:14
My mother said her and dad loved me after I came. I was handful for my parents they were ages 39/42. I was hyper as a toddler and my mother said that they had to take turns sitting in the car with me when they went to a restaurant or I was bouncing off the walls inside. I remember in school it was hard to concentrate and I day dreamed all the time. From the time I woke up in the morning until evening I wanted to play outside. I did not want to stop and eat lunch or dinner. In summer evenings, I was outside playing hide n' seek. I am still like that as an adult as far as food slows me down. Even though I was a handful for my parents, I was their “baby girl.” There is something about the baby of the family.
There are a number of things that have been stolen from me in life and one was I lost my two front teeth as a child. I was around ten years old. I got in a quarrel with the neighbor boy and he threw a rock and hit and broke my two front teeth in half. I went crying to my mother. That strife cost me two front teeth and I cannot remember what the argument was over so it shows how unimportant strife usually is.
My mother and the neighbor’s mother got in a shouting match on the property line of our house, because he came over to our property to throw the rock that broke my two front teeth. I think my mother shouting at the neighbor’s mother may have relieved some of the anger she felt for him robbing me of my two front teeth! If you have ever seen an alley cat fight there was one that day between my mother and the neighbor’s mother. The neighbor parents had to pay to get my teeth fixed. My mother did not wait for my father to get home from work. She yelled at the neighbor's mother and she won the cat fight. Her son had touched my mom’s baby girl.
It’s says that Israel is the apple of God’s eye. That was God’s choice to make a covenant with Abraham and his descendents that he would bless those who bless them. He could have made a covenant with any tribe of people, but Abraham was chosen. Touch Abraham’s descendents ---you have touched God’s property!
As Christians, we are now the apple of God’s eye and when Saul (Paul) was killing Christians he was hurting Jesus. When you speak against or hurt a Christian you are talking against God. We are God’s property. I’m God’s baby girl! If you are a Christian man, you are God's special son!
He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?" Who are you, Lord?" Saul asked. "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting," he replied. Acts 9:4-5
I could have called my big brother Gordon who was five years older than I. I guarantee you, my big brother would have taken care of the bully neighbor boy. Jesus is our big brother. He said he was our friend and he is like a brother.

A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24
You are my friends if you do what I command. John 15:4
A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. Proverbs 17:7
We have heaven and earth in back of us with the name of Jesus in our lives, but do we use his name? Have you ever had anyone yell at you to get off their property because you are trespassing? Satan is a bully. Jesus as our big brother took care of Satan for us. “Satan, in the Name of Jesus, get off my finances, get off my life, get off my family, and get off my property!” “You are trespassing Satan!” I shared a dream I had when I first got married that there were evil men surrounding my house pointing guns. It’s because they were trying to get in our home. "By the way since I belong to God and I am His baby girl, you get off of God’s finances, God’s life, God’s family and God’s property!”
Some of us may not have a “mean bone in our body.” Other people may take advantage of our good nature and try to use us to get something they want. I know someone who feels she was used by an ex-husband who took much of her estate she had received from her first husband when she did not have a pre-nup agreement. It reminds me of the final episode on Little House on the Prairie. The last episode where they blew up the town. A man thought he would waltz in, claim their land and get all the buildings without a fight. He even had the U.S. army back him up with weapons in making the town people leave their land. It was their hard sweat and tears in tilling the land for their farms and building a town. That was her hard sweat and tears from a long first marriage. There is a certain amount of pride that goes into our land, our things, our marriage. When anyone waltzes in and takes it, most of us are going to put up a fight. We currently see that with Israel and their land. How many of us are going to lay down and say, “Yeah just go ahead and take it all and plow right over me? Go ahead and plow right over my life while you are at it!"
Our attitude should be when adversity comes against us is how many more people can I win for Jesus. I consider that gives Satan a black eye. In my life I look at it how many more women who lost their husband or child like Job’s wife can I restore their hope and faith in a loving God.
My dear brothers and sisters, if someone among you wanders away from the truth and is brought back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins. Galatians 5:19-20
When you mess with me as God’s child…you are messing with my Heavenly Father! I am one with God since He has come and lived inside of me. In being one with Christ, like when Paul persecuted Christians he was hurting Jesus so when we hurt Jesus hurts, when we experience loss, Jesus experiences loss, when we experience joy, Jesus experiences joy, when we experience failure in life, Jesus suffers since he is touched with our infirmities.
This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. Hebrews 4:15
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes. Romans 8:26

that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. John 17:21
But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit. 1 Cor. 6:17
We have yet to tap into the great resources available inside us.
And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you. Roman 8:11
Love Child – The Supremes
Tenement slum
Ooh, ooh, ooh....aaaahhh
You think that I don't feel love
What I feel for you is real love
In other's eyes I see reflected
A hurt, scorned, rejected
Love child
Never meant to be
Love Child
Born in poverty
Love Child
Never meant to be
Love Child
Take a look at me
Started my life
In a old, cold, run-down tenament slum (tenement slum)
My father left he never even married mama
I shared the guilt my mama knew
So afraid that others knew I had no name
This love we're contemplatin'
Is worth the pain of waitin'
We'll only end up hatin'
The child we may be creatin'
Love Child
Never meant to be
Love Child
(Scorned by) Society
Love Child
Always second best
Love Child
(Different from) Different from the rest
(Hold on hold on just a little bit longer) Mmmmm baby
(Hold on hold on just a little bit longer) Mmmmm baby
I started school
And a worn, torn dress that somebody threw out
(Somebody threw out)
I knew the way it felt to always live in doubt
To be without the simple things
So afraid my friends would see the guilt in me
Don't think that I don't need ya
Don't think I don't want to please ya
But no child of mine will be bearing
The name of shame I've been wearing
Love Child
Love Child
Never quite as good
Afraid, ashamed
Misunderstood
But I'll always love you
Always love you
I'll always love you
Always love you
Ooh, ooh, ooh....aaaahhh
You think that I don't feel love
What I feel for you is real love
