Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2
The Celestial Fix
From the book “Practicing His Presence” by Charlie Riggs: “A naval officer shared that ships on course on a trackless ocean by securing a “celestial fix” on the stars. By fixing or focusing on the first stars of the evening and the last stars before daylight they navigate, determine their exact location, and make any course correction necessary. Today, though more modern means of navigation are available, the “celestial fix” still works."
Christians need a daily celestial fix to navigate the sea of life, to walk God’s pathway consistently. Psalms 25:4 Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.” We need our compass (our inner spirit) in tune with God’s voice to direct our steps each day. Psalms 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Proverbs 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.
And ye shall be hated by all men for My name's sake. But there shall not a hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls. Luke 21: 17-19 v. 25 And there shall be signs in the sun and in the moon and in the stars; and upon the earth distress among nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring.
Innocent people were killed on 9/11. Satan is a drama queen and he got some glory that day. But we know the turnaround was people coming together in a tragedy to help the victims which included the fireman, police, health care workers and many volunteers from charitable organizations, Red Cross and other contractors. It was the same with Katrina and the Haiti earthquake.
The people who committed the 9/11 crimes, they left the planet not innocent of those people’s blood they shed. Those crimes were first committed in their hearts/minds in plotting them before the actions ever took place. The ones still living that were involved with the plots…the victims who died, their blood is crying up to heaven against them on earth. Abel’s blood cried out against Cain. They could be forgiven even of such heinous crimes, but some people are deceived by a religious spirit that they are doing God's will when one commandment is "Thou Shall Not Kill/Murder."
The voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground. Genesis 4:10
I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus. When I saw her, I was greatly astonished. Rev. 17:6
There was a tower that fell on people and Jesus dealt more with the spiritual soul of man as far as if our heart is right with God at the time when a tragedy hits:
Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. Jesus answered, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way: Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them--do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish." Luke 13:1-5
There are spiritual battles I go through at times in my life. I’m not “believing” for the attacks they just come at times. I had one where I knew it was an attack when I was getting out of my car and I slipped and fell under my car. I also fell on my back on the ice. I’m okay (a few sore muscles). I was being careful as I could. When I accomplish something spiritually many times as far as intercede for others or gain ground in life, many times an attack comes. It goes back to when Jesus was born all the two-year old and younger children were killed. Same thing when Moses was born. A great event took place and Satan was trying to thwart God's plan on earth. I recognize spiritual warfare in my life and when I’m “gaining” ground and the enemy does not like me taking over his territory. During the six-day war, Arabs did not like Israel taking back territory. Physical battles are similar to spiritual battles. This can be gaining victory in my soul, helping other Christians gain victory in their soul or those who are unbelievers. I like a quote by Joyce Meyer when she says, "I may not be where I should be at spiritually, but thank God I'm not at where I was at previously."
Christians may not understand spiritual warfare, but this is how it works. I know when I broke my ankle there were other people in the city the same weekend that fell down the stairs and were hurt. During the ice storm several people had similar falls and problems from the ice in their gutters like I did where the gutters fell off my house. A person at work lost part of their roof in the ice storm over their bedroom. One time my husband and I got in an argument on the way home from going out with his friends for dinner. We rarely argued. That Monday I was talking to a Christian friend in my office and she got in an argument at the exact same time on Friday night and they rarely argued. Coincidence? Or does Satan like to disperse his angels of darkness for concentrated attacks on the Body of Christ at the same time? What was 9/11? It was coordinated attacks that the enemy (Al Qaeda) did at the same time of the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and then the White House were targets. Are things any different in the spiritual world when it comes to afflicting sickness, disease, accidents, mishaps on people across town in Indiana periodically as it was in 9/11 across the U.S.? Notice how swine flu, bird flu and other epidemics broke out over the population. Fear is spread with each of these epidemics. The attacks of the spirit realm are similar to the attacks in the natural realm.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12
God corrects me by his word, Satan likes to throw me against the wall when I mess up and break my bones when he can. It’s like going out and playing in the street where there are cars or playing with fire when I was a little girl. When I was a little girl I made a candle in kindergarten, got some matches from the kitchen cabinet, got my cat and went in the closet of my bedroom and lit the candle. I caught the closet on fire. My dad had a 104 degree temperature with the flu, but he got up out of bed with my mother and put the fire out with buckets of water before the fire spread to the attic and burnt down our house. My hair was singed from the fire, but I got out of the closet before my clothes caught on fire. Many times in life, we play with fire willingly and sometimes we may not even know we have let the enemy in our lives. It can be innocent fire playing even as children or through our parents such as fortune telling, tarot cards, astrology, Ojai Boards, séances, hypnotism, good luck charms, Freemasonry (vows to an organization), or Dungeon and Dragons that can open the door to attacks of sickness or oppression on our lives, and we did not even know it opened the door to get us burnt.
Who can discern his errors? Forgive my hidden faults. Psalm 19:12
Some people are avid bird watchers. There are very beautiful birds in Hawaii and New Zealand. I do not have an appreciation of wild birds. I had parakeets as a child, but I saw Alfred Hitchcock’s movie, The Birds and it frighten me. My dad would shoot crows for getting in the garden especially the strawberry patch. Our house was in-between two corn fields. They rotated crops between corn and then soy beans. I really could not appreciate this scripture about birds until I saw a faculty member who tenderly cared for a baby Robin he found on the ground near our offices. He tenderly cares for his parrot birds at home and brought them into the office at times. It says that God cares for us even more than the birds. This person that found the baby Robin, tenderly kept the baby bird warm and tried to nurse it back to health and brought it to an animal shelter. My heavenly Father tenderly cares for us like little birds.
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. Matthew 10:29
The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17
A good prayer for my friends and myself right now is for peace (divine assurance). It seems that are various storms going on in people’s lives and on this planet that attacks our peace of soul. A negative report robbed the children of Israel from going into the promise land. It robbed their heart from peace and that is what the enemy tries to rob me of God’s peace in my life and he uses people, circumstances, money, calamity, cars that break down, houses that have problems, appliances that break, fender benders, anything negative for him to get a little attention. Heaven will be the absence of evil and I don't expect Hitler to be there. It would not be heaven if God allowed evil to be there. When Jesus was asleep in the boat he got up and he rebuked the storm, and said, “Peace Be Still.” There have been times where I’ve prayed for my friends God's peace over their soul. David said he quieted his soul:
But I have stilled and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with its mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me. Psalm 131:2
Then He got into the boat and His disciples followed Him. Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke Him, saying, “Lord, save us, we’re going to drown!” He replied, “You of little faith! Why are you so afraid?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey Him!” Matthew 8:23-27
When I was dating my husband, the more I got to know him the more I liked him and the more peace I had he was the right person for me in my life. I can usually tell very fast if I want to date a person by the peace in my heart if the relationship is going to work. I’ve tried to make relationships work in the past, but there was never an absolute peace. In fact, there was a lack of peace in the relationship. The scripture below talks bout men's hearts will fail them for fear, but we can have God's peace (tranquility) or a celestial fix in our hearts.
Men's hearts will fail them for fear and for looking upon those things which are coming on the earth; for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. Luke 21:26
The scriptures below say "do not let our heart be troubled and let the peace of God rule." I let the peace of God rule when I cast my cares/worries on the Lord and don't carry the worry/care my self.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:29
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27
have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. John 16:33
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Colossians 3:15
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philip. 4:7
My Peace
My peace I give unto you
It's a peace that the world cannot give
It's a peace that the world cannot understand
Peace to know, peace to live,
My peace I give unto you.
His Eye is on the Sparrow
Why should I feel discouraged, why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely, and long for heav’n and home,
When Jesus is my portion? My constant Friend is He:
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
Refrain:
I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free,
For His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
“Let not your heart be troubled,” His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path He leadeth, but one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
Whenever I am tempted, whenever clouds arise,
When songs give place to sighing, when hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him, from care He sets me free;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me
His Eye is on the Sparrow
