Is There a Hell (Part 1)...Don't Miss Out On The Wedding of The Ages--- It's Better Then Prince William and Kate's Wedding

The Wedding Invitation of the Ages

People from all over the globe, got up early to watch Prince William and Kate’s wedding on television.  My nephew is getting married in October.  I’ve been invited to my nephew’s wedding.  I just received a “save the date” invitation.   He is coming back to the US from Paris, France to get married.  I’ve been invited to a wedding in heaven between Jesus Christ and his believers.  Like my nephew, Jesus is coming back one of these days to earth to gather his believers.  I have my “save the date card” from God.  People from all over the globe and throughout many centuries will be at the upcoming party that I’m attending.  It will be the grand wedding of the ages.  It’s the ceremony between Jesus Christ and his people (his bride).  The final celebration when all his believers are together as one.

Then the angel said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!'" And he added, "These are the true words of God." Revelation 19:9

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.  After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 1 Thess. 4:16-17

For now, I’m not going to debate on whether there is a hell, lake of fire, purgatory, Abrahams’ bosom, or that unbelievers who die spiritually cease to exist.  As a reborn believer in Christ, I do not want friends and family to miss out on the party or wedding of a lifetime.

When I was a child, I never liked to come inside for lunch or dinner to eat.  My mother was taking away from my fun.  My grandson is the same way; he would rather play than eat.  I liked having fun to the fullest.  Living life to the fullest. I found living life to the fullest is to know the author of eternal life.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10
Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. John 17:3

I like hosting a good party at my home.  I have a single's party coming up.  It will be scrumptious food, because I have a lot of good cooks that come to my parties.   I have a hot tub.  We will Karaoke and dance to the Wii.  At the end of the evening, it's a great joy to have a good turn out, and have fun. The Children of Israel had many parties.  They had several feasts...the Feast of Tabernacle/Booths...the feast of Unleavened Bread, Feast of First Fruits, Feast of Pentecost, Feast of Trumpets, feast for Day of Atonement, and the feast for Eighth Day of Assembly.

Jesus liked a good party.  If he was a party pooper, he would have not been invited to the wedding at Canaan where he did his first public recorded miracle.  When it came to making wine, Jesus wine was stronger (the best) wine of anyone else’s wine.  We don’t know how many miracles Jesus did prior to that in his life, since His mother said to the servants, "Whatever He says to you, do it." John 2:5

A host always serves the best wine first," he said. "Then, when everyone has had a lot to drink, he brings out the less expensive wine. But you have kept the best until now!" John 2:10

Some people want to argue that was grape juice.  You can believe whatever you want to, but one clue is this scripture:

The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and "sinners."' But wisdom is proved right by her actions." Matthew 11:19

Many times people make excuses on why they can’t come to my party or if you are having a wedding sometimes you get an RSVP from people, and you have expected no show rate of 10-20%  for a wedding.  That happened at my wedding, where some friends sent back RSVP cards, and still did not come.  God has sent out a personal invitation to everyone in life.   He has sent out many of his servants to invite people to this wedding.  Many people make excuses as to why they don’t want to serve God or accept what God’s son has done.   Many Jews did not accept the wedding invitation from Christ that he was the Messiah.

Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. Go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.' So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, both good and bad, and the wedding hall was filled with guests. So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, both good and bad, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.  Matthew 22:8-11

When Jesus came, his ministry was only to Abraham’s descendents.  He did not come to minister to the Gentiles.  The blessing of Abraham came on the Gentiles after he was crucified.  Jesus came to minister to the lost sheep of Israel.   A Gentile woman cried out to Jesus for help for her daughter and Jesus honored the mother's request, because of her faith.  Jesus pointed out that she was a Gentile (dog), but she did not take no for an answer/being put off  for the healing of her daughter, she was persistent in her faith.  She also had to press through Jesus' disciples trying to discourage her.

A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession." Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, "Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us." He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.  The woman came and knelt before him. "Lord, help me!" she said. He replied, "It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs." "Yes, Lord," she said, "but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table." Then Jesus answered, "Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted." And her daughter was healed from that very hour. Mathew 15:22-27

Wearing a Wedding Garment?

We have to be wearing wedding clothes to come to this banquet.  Those who were invited to Prince William and Kate’s wedding, put on their finest robes.  If you are going to a fine dining event, you can be thrown out, because you did not wear a tie and a suit jacket.  What is the wedding garment?  It’s wearing the garment that we are going to receive from the Lord. Naked we came into the world like Job said naked we will leave.   When Adam and Eve realized they were naked, then God killed an animal and clothed them with the skin of the animal.

Friend,' he asked, 'how did you get in here without wedding clothes?' The man was speechless. "Then the king told the attendants, 'Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'    Matthew 22:12-12

The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. Genesis 3:21

They were trying to cover their shame of sinning with fig leaves, but it took the blood of the animal to cover their sin.  Jesus was the Lamb of God that took away the sin of the world.  God is holy and without holiness no man can see the Lord.  Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. Hebrews 12:14

It’s through the holy blood of Jesus Christ.  There would have been no physical death on earth, until there was spiritual death.  No one would have been aware they were naked, because Adam and Eve were clothed with the glory of God.   When man was spiritually separated from God, he became aware that he was naked (aware of his shortcomings, sins and faults).

Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves. Genesis 3:7

God will have people clothed in white linen, and it will be whiter than Tide Detergent cleans linen:

Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear." (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of the saints.) Rev 19:8
The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Rev 19:14
He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels. Rev 3:5
After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. Rev. 7:9

The Fear of Death and the Illusion of Being Good

Before I became a Christian, the talk about hell bothered me.  The one thing that bothered me more than Christians talking about hell is the fact that I could die at any time.  I talk to a number of people that travel overseas regularly, and they are bothered by the thought of a jetliner plane crashing into the ocean.  I would think that the impact of the airplane crash would be so hard, that it would not matter as far as you are not going to experience the suffocation of drowning.   Before I asked Jesus to come into my heart, I was concerned about where I was going to go when I died more than the thought of dying.  My conscience convicted me that I was not doing right and failed my own expectations many times of what I “should have been doing.”  I was a slave to Satan by the fear of death.

Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death--that is, the devil--   and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives. Hebrews 2:15

Many people think they are good in themselves, because they do several good deeds to outweigh the bad in their life, but even Jesus did not claim to be good in himself, although he was sinless.  Jesus said that only God was good.

Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good--except God alone. Mark 10:18

I believe that Jesus did not claim to be good, because than that would have been self-glory and pride comes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.

Before his downfall a man's heart is proud, but humility comes before honor. Proverbs 18:12
Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18

Jesus honored his Heavenly Father (glorified Him), and in turn the Father glorified Jesus.  In the same way, as Christians, we humble ourselves before God, and he will exalt us.  It is not a self-glory trip over our goodness or good works or a power hungry attitude.  Jesus warned not to be like the Gentiles, which tried to control and lord over people, but the greatest person would be a servant of all.  We are to have the same attitude of Christ.   As an unbeliever, it requires a person to admit they have sinned and need a savior.

Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, Philip 2:5-6

Jesus called them together and said, "You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them.  Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, Mark 10:42-43

To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable:  “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.  The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector.  I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’  “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’   “I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” Luke 13:9-14

I was set free by Jesus from the fear of death, and I do good works, not to get into heaven.  I do good works out of a love relationship that I have with Jesus.  It's like before my husband passed away, he would go get a glass of water for me when I was studying for my college exams, because he loved me.  Many times he served me.  I also served him.  We were in a love relationship together.  Jesus said for us to ask our Heavenly Father for good things.  When we are in a love relationship with our Heavenly Father through Jesus, we can ask whatever we wish.   I asked my husband for something to drink, and he brought me something to drink.  My husband was considerate and brought me what I asked for.  He did not bring me poison, and he did not throw the glass of water on me.  I do not serve God out of fear of punishment, like I did not serve my husband that I was afraid he would hurt me.  This is a love relationship I have with God.

In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. John 16:23

You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. John 14:14

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!  Matthew 7:8-10

In turn, because Peter was in a love relationship with Jesus, Jesus asked Peter if he loved Him more than his former career of fishing and He asked Peter to feed his sheep and feed his lambs.  If we "pat ourselves" on the back about all the good works we are doing on our own, than we take away from its God who does the good works through us, or we do them because we are in a love relationship with God.  I thanked my husband for bringing me a drink, just like I thank my Heavenly father that he answers my prayer requests. I like to thank God ahead of time when I pray in case I forget to thank him after my prayer requests are answered.  My heavenly Father praises me too when I do the requests that he asks of me.

It is God who produces in you the desires and actions that please him.  Philip 2:13

When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?" "Yes, Lord," he said, "you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my lambs."  Again Jesus said, "Simon son of John, do you truly love me?" He answered, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Take care of my sheep." The third time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my sheep.  John 21:15-17

His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!' Matthew 25:21
