God’s Golden Globes Award Ceremony…A few surprises.

God’s Golden Globes Award Ceremony…A few surprises.  Like the weather here in Indiana, i.e. thunderstorms, lightning, and a tornado warning in January.
It’s God’s Golden Globes Award ceremony before his throne and Billy Graham is the nomination for evangelist of our generation, and then the “Little Old Lady from Pasadena” runs up to the throne, and takes the award out of Billy’s hand...LOL.  It’s the widow who prayed continually for his ministry and supported him with $20.00 every month.  Go Granny Go Granny Go Granny Go!
The least is greater than John the Baptist:  (I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he." Luke 7:28)
I heard about a maid in the White House that retired who laid her hands on the seat of the President’s chair and prayed for each president in the White House.  "Sorry, Mr. President, the cleaning lady gets the award for helping the poor and leading a nation." Several scriptures talk about being faithful in prayer and widows who pray:  (Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.  Roman 12:12) and (The widow who is really in need and left all alone puts her hope in God and continues night and day to pray and to ask God for help. 1 Tim 5:5)
It’s not white power, black power, the power of persuasion in speech, it’s our knee power:  (if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14)
If we are the least or the most insignificant person on the totem pole of life. --- That is what is so neat about the kingdom of God.  I can be despised and rejected by others for the kingdom of God's sake like Jesus was despised and rejected by man (Isaiah 53:3), but God said when that happens, that whatever you do to the least Christian in this life, you done it unto him.  ("The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.' Matthew 25:40)
So who is great in the kingdom of God?  We know servants are great: (And he among you who wants to be the first will be a servant to all.” Matthew 10:44)

The worm of all worms of a person in the kingdom of heaven is the most important.  That includes hangnails, warts and blemishes in the Body of Christ:

And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. 1 Cor. 12:23
Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees.  Make level paths for your feet," so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed. Hebrews 12:12-13

Peter talked about how a husband is to give honor to his wife:

(Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. 1 Peter 3:7)

Here we go folks. Here is an answer to the weather in Indiana: It says that Elijah was a man just “like us” prayed about the weather.  Yeah, I can be like Elijah….God I’m ready to be taken up into that chariot of fire of yours.  (The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. James 5:17).
When that gust of wind came and knocked the State Fairground stage down and several people were killed and injured, I prayed immediately as soon as I heard the news since someone called me on my cell phone when it happened.  I had a gust of wind break a tree limb at the same time that hit the windshield of my car when I leaving an outdoor concert in Greenwood with friends.  I was fortunate since I could not see when it fell on my car when I was driving that I did not crash or it did not break my windshield with my daughter, two grandsons and I.
Jesus asked after he talked about praying and a widow who would not give up her request for justice to an unjust judge, Jesus asked when he comes if he would find faith on the earth? (However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8).  I use an example of faith is Daniel. In looking at Daniels life, and that he was in a lion’s den and a firey furnace, I think he is good example of faith man so I learned my lesson from him in that Daniel prayed three times a day. (Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before. Daniel 6:10).
I do my best to pray in my car going to work in the morning, at lunch and then in the evening.  Sometimes I pray under my breath even in the elevator, but I try to continually pray.  Prayer is part of the armor of God in life.  I had a person that ran a red light when I was downtown and I hesitated.  That has happened many times when I was praying that I hesitate or saw someone not yielding when they got on the interstate or in the street that I avoided the accident. I find that most accidents I’ve had in my car that if I would have hesitated more than I would have avoided it unless the person in front of me stopped very fast.
(Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philip 4:6; And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Ephesians 6:18)
When Jesus was born Simeon, the priest saw him as a baby before he passed away, and then an elderly widow who was fasting and praying:
(Then she lived as a widow to the age of eighty-four. She never left the Temple but stayed there day and night, worshiping God with fasting and prayer.  Coming up to them at that very moment, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem. When Joseph and Mary had done everything required by the Law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee to their own town of Nazareth. Luke 2:37)
I consider how I treat others every day is how I want to be treated is to handle others delicately like a delicate load of laundry and add fabric softener to soften them up.  I handle them with prayer and with encouragement.  Including the mean little old lady from Pasadena, or the angry people standing in long lines at Christmas in the store or the Post Office! Maybe the old lady from Pasadena was mean because like Job’s wife who lost her children, or Naomi in the Bible who lost her husband, maybe she needs encouragement.
(Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27)
