I was driving to a single's
Bible study that I really did not want to go to, and I asked God, "God
what is up with this?" Before my husband passed away I had signed up with my
daughter Sandy and my friend Teresa to go into the girl's prison again. Than
the volunteer coordinator had a heart attack at 42 years old and passed away
and they did not have any volunteers for one year, and then my husband had a
heart attack right after that man. That is really where my "heart"
is. I watched Johnny Cash movie (Walk the Line) and my heart just goes out to people in prison. But, I
realize that many people are in different prisons. They are in the prison of
bitterness, despair, worry, fear, loneliness, depression, suicide and grief and
I've been helping these widows and men that lost their wives lately from anger.
So God answered me and he said it's like the 500 mile race where you take a pit stop once in a while. Sometimes another car hits your car and you get knocked out of the race. So I got knocked out of that race, and I'm waiting on the mechanics to fix my car. I may not come in first place, but that is okay, because God said the first shall be as the last and the last shall be as the first. Matthew 20:16
The second word I had is the Body of Christ has great
defensive line players where they are always praying after the fact, but I need
to keep my “offensive” line going to move forward to our goals, and that with
Satan it’s “push him back, push him back, way back.” That is the offensive
line going of prayer. Paul said, “I would have come to you over and over
but Satan hindered or stopped me.”
(For we wanted to come to you--certainly I, Paul, did, again and again--but
Satan stopped us. 1 Thess. 2:18)
