Ding Dong the Wicked Witch (Queen) is Dead...Men of Valor:

Walt Disney seemed to be fascinated with evil women---evil queens, step-mothers and witches, i.e. Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid,  but there were evil queens in the Bible.

Have an evil ruler? Dealing with terrorists or Jihad?  Call the Navy Seals or the Men of Valor.  In the Bible, the prophet anointed Jehu to take care of the evil rulers, Ahab and Jezebel, King Joram, and Ahaziah, king of Judah.  I have a hard time understanding parts of the Bible until I watched this movie recently, “Men of Valor.”  I did not really care for the movie violence very much, but it does help me understand that to take out terrorists, or an evil ruler in this world, we need our Navy Seals or men of Valor and God had his men of valor.

David sort of reminds me of the Indian savages as far as how many scalps did you get today honey?  For the princess hand, Micah, he had to get fifty Philistines foreskins.  Come and look at my trophies on the wall----I don’t think I would be hanging up those foreskin trophies!

David and his men went out and killed two hundred Philistines. He brought their foreskins and presented the full number to the king so that he might become the king's son-in-law. Then Saul gave him his daughter Michal in marriage. 1 Samuel 18:27

Saul was not making good his promise (word) to give the person who slayed Goliath his daughter, but it may be that Saul forgot where he came from (his humble abode) and despised that David was a shepherd boy.  Actually, I am not surprised that Saul did not keep his word.  I heard a long time ago, if we don’t keep our word than we will fail to be able to understand how God keeps his word and we see that Saul had much difficulty in keeping God’s commands or his word as his commander and chief, besides failing to keep his own word.

And the men of Israel said, “Have you seen this man who has come up? Surely he has come up to defy Israel. And the king will enrich the man who kills him with great riches and will give him his daughter and make his father's house free in Israel.” 1 Samuel 17:25

I am so glad they have changed over to dog tag recognition system instead of the foreskin or scalps.  I ordered the last series of Battlestar Galactic DVD’s, and they gave me some dog tags.  They used to brag in the series about Cylon kills on their X-wing fighter planes.  I would brag about killing demons, since I am in a spiritual warfare, but I don’t think sending them into a pig, actually gets rid of them.

Paul and Jesus are my example of the demon fighters.  Paul casted out a spirit of divination – which was giving her master’s much gain from her predicting the future.  She had a real gift of fortune telling, but it was not from God. I would suggest that you not go to a fortune teller (even just for fun) because you can bring the enemy’s oppression on your life.  Paul casted the familiar spirit out when he was annoyed.  Gee, what a great example of doing something positive when he was annoyed/exasperated!   I was so annoyed at my daughter for locking me out in the cold of my house when she had one of my keys, I started driving and picked up this girl walking on the side of the road in the dark who could use a ride.  I thought I would use my anger in a “constructive” way rather than a destructive way.  It was because I could not reach her by cell phone and I did not know where she was for about an hour while I was waiting outside my house.

This girl followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, "These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved." She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so troubled (exasperated) that he turned around and said to the spirit, "In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!" At that moment the spirit left her. Acts 16:17-18

The first wicked queen was Jezebel.  Such a ferrous king was anointed to take care of the Jezebel problem that when Elisha told his protégée to go anoint him – he said to open the door and then run (run as fast as you can).
2 King 9: 1-3:  And Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets, and said to him, “Then take the flask of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, ‘Thus says the Lord: “I have anointed you king over Israel.” ’ Then open the door and flee, and do not delay.”

We might imagine that Elisha gave this prophet this duty as a class assignment.
And he poured the oil on his head, and said to him, “Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘I have anointed you king over the people of the LORD, over Israel. You shall strike down the house of Ahab your master, that I may avenge the blood of My servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the Lord, at the hand of Jezebel. For the whole house of Ahab shall perish; and I will cut off from Ahab all the males in Israel, both bond and free. So I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah. The dogs shall eat Jezebel on the plot of ground at Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her.’ ” And he opened the door and fled.

I like to watch the history channel about how the soldiers had to walk for miles and by the time they reached the battle they were all worn out from marching with the heavy armor.  Now they just parachute to the location by helicopter or planes, but Jehu had a chariot and reputation by the way he drove his chariot! (So the watchman reported, saying, “He went up to them and is not coming back; and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi, for he drives furiously!”)

Now when Jehu had come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she put paint on her eyes and adorned her head, and looked through a window. Then, as Jehu entered at the gate, she said, “Is it peace, Zimri, murderer of your master?” And he looked up at the window, and said, “Who is on my side? Who?” So two or three eunuchs looked out at him. Then he said, “Throw her down.” So they threw her down, and some of her blood spattered on the wall and on the horses; and he trampled her underfoot. And when he had gone in, he ate and drank. Then he said, “Go now, see to this accursed woman, and bury her, for she was a king’s daughter.” So they went to bury her, but they found no more of her than the skull and the feet and the palms of her hands. Therefore they came back and told him. And he said, “This is the word of the Lord, which He spoke by His servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, ‘On the plot of ground at Jezreel dogs shall eat the flesh of Jezebel; and the corpse of Jezebel shall be as refuse on the surface of the field, in the plot at Jezreel, so that they shall not say, “Here lies Jezebel.” ’ ”

(21-24) Jehu kills King Joram; (27-29) Jehu also kills Ahaziah, king of Judah.

The next evil queen was Herodias.  It says that she nursed a grudge against John the Baptist since he told her that living with her husband’s brother was wrong. (Mark 6:19-28).  From nursing the grudge, she visioned John’s head on a platter and eventually got it.  John the Baptist had a prophet’s ministry and so did Elijah.  I’m not sure what happened to Herodias, but we know what happened to Herod:

On the appointed day Herod, wearing his royal robes, sat on his throne and delivered a public address to the people. They shouted, "This is the voice of a god, not of a man." Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died. Acts 12:21-23

Those with a prophet’s ministry may be called upon by God to “call a person out on their sin” like Nathan to David, or anoint someone to fulfill a certain calling in their life. It’s not usually a popular calling.  God does have prophets today and I’ll go more into their role in the future, it’s a little bit different.

It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-12
While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them." So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off. Acts 13:2-3
