God is the Nutcracker

There is a good song by Third Day, called, “I Need a Miracle.” I posted the link below this blog. I can relate because I remember I used to sing that song, "It's me it's me it's me Oh Lord standing in the need of prayer, it's me, it's me, it's me Oh Lord standing in the need of prayer." Most people would like to have a miracle in their life.

I had blogged previously on those “save me” quick acting prayers or the “Lord help me” prayers like Peter prayed when he was sinking, or “Lord have mercy on me" prayers that many of the parents in the Bible asking for their children to be healed.

I talked about my dad when I was around 18-years old was down on his back, and was going in for surgery in the hospital for a kink in his colon. I had prayed, "God have mercy on my dad." The x-ray attendee dropped him on the table before the x-ray and the kink of his colon was gone.

Hey, I’ll take those mercy healings anyway God wants to use doctors, drop me on my head when I was born, or whatever to knock some sense in me. I had prayed, “God have mercy on my dad,” and he did not end up needing surgery. Whatever gets the job done! They cancelled surgery. My dad attributed to the attendee dropping him, and I attributed it to God answering my prayer.

My dad liked to argue with me on the Bible and he argued about reincarnation that he believed in until he was 77 years old, a Baptist minister prayed the salvation prayer with him on his death bed about one or two weeks before he passed away of pancreatic cancer. He was given six months to live and he lived l –l/2 years. I saw him go from a large robust over 6’ tall man to skin and bones.

A couple of years ago, the Lord spoke to my spirit, and said, “Your dad was a hard nut to crack, like those holiday nuts your parents used to buy that you have to take a hammer to.”

Anyway, I was thinking “Why did God tell me that?” My father has been deceased for almost 20 years now. Is God telling me my dad was a nut and he is the nutcracker? LOL

I was talking to my former’s pastor wife and she was telling me about her struggles with arguing with her dad also, and I shared my story with her about what God told me about my dad being very hard-headed or hard-hearted. She believed it was a word of knowledge for her. She started laughing how her dad had given them a bunch of holiday nuts, and they were so hard they hammered them, and ran over them with their car tires.

The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone. Psalm 118:22 and Matthew 21:42
He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed." Matthew 21:44
Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, "The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone," 1 Peter 2:7

I don’t always know when God gives me a dream or a prophetic word which can be encouragement or foretells the future if I am supposed to share it or who I am supposed to share it with. It says the last days about seeing visions and dreams.

'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Acts 2:17 & Joel 2:28

Many people don’t believe in miracles that miracles were only in the book of Acts. It’s because they don’t live in God’s time zone which is the present. He is the God of “I am that I am.”

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8
