My Footprints in the Sand are His

Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Galatians 5:25

Today I forgot my laptop and had to waste gas and time to go back home from work and get it.   I can see the advantage of working from home like some people do (not so expensive in all that gas).  I heard that thanking God when things go wrong is giving God the control of our life.  I guess it’s like defying the laws of gravity only its defying the laws of negativity.  So I thanked God for my stupidity and wasting gas money.  Giving thanks in all things for this is the will of God.

(Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thess 5:18) and (Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:20)

I'm sure glad that my following God is not based on "my" dependability or what I do in life.  I already have an elder brother ---sort of like my big brother Gordo (only not so wild...LOL) who has walked the walk for me and he also talked the talk for me and I'm thanking God for my elder brother that the footsteps he created in the sand of life -- I'm just walking in those footprints.  If I miss a footprint, well I thank God I skipped one at times in life.

For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. Romans 8:29
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. Col 1:15
I will also appoint him my firstborn, the most exalted of the kings of the earth. Psalm 89:27
