Understanding the Ministry of Our Angels

The Bible tells us to test spirits and it tells us to test what is God’s will.
  

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will. Hebrews 12:2

When Jesus came off his fast in the wilderness and when he was in the garden of Gethsemane before he went to the cross, angels strengthened him.

Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him. Matthew 4:11
Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done." An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. Luke 22:42-43

I’ve had “strengthening’s” in life --it’s like you feel you can’t do something, and being so burned out, and then a second wind. I’ve heard it compared to a special adrenaline, but I did not drink a Red Bull or any energy drink, it was a divine strengthening. 

Paul talked about the Lord strengthened him: 

At my first defense, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them. ut the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion's mouth.   2 Timothy 4:16-17 

I have spoken to several widows who had a special touch or help during time of affliction or a supernatural comfort after their husband's death. What I tell people is "discerning" of spirits is what a certain event or special sign/experience ministers to them. Did the occurrence you have minister grace, love, and peace to your spirit?

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1

When I was living in Florida, I had a strange incident happen to me when I was a young Christian at 20 years old before I was married and I was dating, I asked my boyfriend to call me and wake me up at 5:00 a.m. for a new job. I just got a new phone installed and was living with my young son and right at 5:00 a.m., I got an obscene phone call. My boyfriend said he overslept. I woke up right before the phone call so I did not need the enemy to wake me up. I know that Satan was trying to convince me that he does God’s bidding.

So how did I know that it was not God that kept Satan on a ball and chain and used Satan to wake me up? Because it ministered fear to me. I became fearful for a few days knowing I had a new phone number and who could be calling me. The phone man who installed my land line and my boyfriend were the one who two people who knew my phone number.  It says that God does not give us fear.

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7

I had a dream in July before I went on vacation and it said, "Don't take your boat on vacation" take your small SUV, and pull your wave runners, your other SUV has a mechanical problem." I woke up bound Satan, and determine that I was going to take my boat on vacation. The only problem is that it was God's voice was telling me to do something. “Get behind me Satan” won’t work well when it’s God telling me to do something.

One hour from my destination, a motorcycle pulled up beside my car and told me when I rolled down my window on the interstate that my car was smoking from the bottom. I stopped at the next exit and went to a gas station and found out it was transmission fluid. There happened to be 24-hour full service towing garage and I had them check it out and my transmission blew a seal. I had to leave my car there the whole week and have friends pick me up who had gone before my daughter and I on this trip camping. I found out a garage in Indiana filled my transmission five quarts too full when I had it serviced about a week earlier.

God knew the transmission place made a mistake. I later went back and showed the garage their mistake, and I got $800 back from the service on my transmission.

These type of warning dreams, I’ve had a few like these in the past, but did not understand them, even one related to my husband before he had his heart attack. Joseph was warned by an angel to flee into Egypt because Herod was going to try to kill Jesus. One of angel's purpose are messengers like when Gabriel came to Mary to tell her she was going to conceive and also to Elizabeth’s husband. Angels appeared to the shepherds to proclaim Christ’s birth, they also appeared to Abraham, before Sarah conceived.

Regarding the angels, he says, "He sends his angels like the winds, his servants like flames of fire." Hebrews 1:7, Psalm 104:4

I am not sure I know exactly how to use my angels in life, but it talks about they are to serve those of us who have salvation. I believe when I pray, I can send forth my angels to work is what this scripture means. I’m still learning about their roles in our lives.

Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? Hebrews 1:14

I was not in the "perfect" will of God because I did not do what the dream instructed me to do which was to not bring my boat, but in going to plan B, I got the best in plan B. The Bible talks about the good, acceptable and perfect will of God. Sometimes I don't always get in the perfect will of God, because the Bible talks about renewing our minds to the word of God to find the perfect will of God and if I'm not listening to the voice of my spirit than at times, I've "missed" the boat.

I'm trying my best in life to not miss the boat and being sensitive to the spirit of God, most of the time it’s a “peace” in my spirit. That is how I knew my husband Mike was the right person for me. The more I dated him the more “peace” I had that alleviated doubts in my mind. It was a “peace” that passes understanding so not everything is all dreams when it comes to angels, sometimes it’s just following a peace.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philip 4:7
