Where Are Our Accusers? Jesus Stooped for A Woman Taken in Adultery
Its very rare to find a person who is a VIP that will come down from their level to help a lower class person. There was a woman taken in the very act of adultery. Maybe her clothes were hanging off of her when they dragged her through town. Jesus was sitting, but then he stooped down to write in the sand which put him more on her eye level.
I really like next part of what Jesus did. Jesus stood up to her accusers. We see the same thing with Joshua and in Isaiah that whether our accusers are people or Satan, Jesus stands up to them. we don't have to take the stones, the accusations for our shortcomings and sins, they were laid on Jesus.
Then Jesus said, “He that is without sin cast the first stone.”
It says first the oldest left, and then the younger. The older one gets the more one realizes that we need the grace of God, especially when we see more and more people leave this earth for various reasons or the road of life gets rough along the way.
Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him. The Lord said to Satan, "The Lord rebuke you, Satan! Indeed, the Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?" Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and standing before the angel. The angel said to those who were standing before him, “Take off his filthy clothes.”Then he said to Joshua, “See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put fine garments on you.”
Then I said, “Put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him, while the angel of the Lord stood by. Zechariah 3:1-5
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord. Isaiah 54:17
John 8:1-11 but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” “No one, sir,” she said.
“Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.
