Why Mitt Romney Failed --- Is He Color Blind?

Mitt Romney failed to identify with the poor populations. The why Mitt Romney failed is the same reason that many believers fail too. If we fail to identify (have compassion) with the poor and sit in our ivory towers (the better than thou attitude), we can never reach people for Christ. That is why Mother Teresa had such an effect on people. Jesus was rich, but God chose him to be born of humble birth to Joseph and Mary.

If people can’t identify with a leader and they can’t identify that they need a savior in their life, they will go on in their life without one. I find many people can be so narrow-minded when it comes to seeing life either in black and white and they don’t understand that God made gray too. There are “gray” areas in life at times.

If a person is deemed color blind, it means he can't see red and green, but only sees them as shades of brown that is the human condition known as color blind. However, dogs do not differentiate between red and green, so by human standards, yes, they are color blind. Dogs see yellow, blue, and tans/browns very well, and some shades of purple.

I can relate to being a single divorced mother with five children, no child support from an ex-husband, and receiving grants to go to college, struggling hand to mouth on a secretary income of $20K, and if a person is threatening to take my benefits away why would I want to vote for a person who would do that?

Problems with the economy effect middle class differently than the poor population, and I am more a middle class working bee now.

No, we all don’t like the same thing to eat for dinner, and we don’t all see the same way that everyone views life. Thank God. We are prisms and prisms shed light on a topic in a different way. We may shed light on the Bible in a different way than others shed that light.

Notice the verse below says “so that God will be given glory” when we accept one another. As long as you understand “where” people are coming from than you know that accepting a person the way they are like the Bible talks about.

Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory. Romans 15:7

Proverbs has a lot about reaching our hands out to the poor. It is rather amazing because it was written by one of the richest men on the planet –Solomon!

She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. Proverbs 31:20
A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor. Proverbs 22:9
